Called to serve Him, heavenly King of glory, Chosen e'er to witness for his name, Far and wide we tell the Father's story, Far and wide his love proclaim. Onward, ever onward, as we glory in his name; Onward, ever onward, as we glory in his name; Forward, pressing forward, as a triumph song we sing. God our strength will be; press forward ever, Called to serve our King! Called to know the richness of his blessing— Sons and daughters, children of a King— Glad of heart, his holy name confessing, Praises unto Him we bring. Onward, ever onward, as we glory in his name; Onward, ever onward, as we glory in his name; Forward, pressing forward, as a triumph song we sing. God our strength will be; press forward ever, Called to serve our King!

Mexico!

Elder Holmquist is finally in Mexico!!  He arrived in Monterrey on Friday afternoon.  After a quick peanut butter sandwich, he was sent off into the field!

We received a call from the secretary to the mission president on Sunday.  Sam will be serving in one of the upper most parts of the mission.  In his email, he said that he is about 5 miles from the US border!

He spent about 20 hours on a bus to get to his area!  His email was wonderful and he is excited to get to work.  He asks that we all pray for his Spanish! He feels like he isn't getting it as fast as he could.

He also talked about how grateful he is for all he has back at home.  The people are very poor and do not have much of anything.  He talked about kneeling on dirt floors with families and praying. He is humbled by the members and their faith.

Please continue to pray for him, especially now that he is truly into the work!  Updates will come as we get them!  Thank you as always for you support and prayers!
